VEROSCAN

Run the real accessibility scanner

Accessibility testing belongs in an accessibility product. The Blog Note explains the findings; VeroScan performs the scan.

The Blog Note uses VeroScan for live accessibility scanning rather than pretending a short checklist can evaluate a website against WCAG.

What an automated accessibility checker can find

Automated scanning can identify many machine-detectable issues such as missing labels, certain contrast failures, invalid ARIA usage, heading problems, missing alternative text and other rule-based errors. It is especially useful for recurring QA across large sites.

What automation cannot prove

No automated scanner can prove full WCAG conformance by itself. Keyboard usability, meaningful alternative text, reading order, cognitive clarity and whether an interaction actually works for assistive technology often require manual testing.

Use scan results as a remediation queue

Prioritize issues that block navigation, forms, purchasing, service requests or core content. Then fix repeated template problems before one-off page errors so a single code change can improve many URLs.

Accessibility belongs in website QA

The best time to catch accessibility regressions is during design, development and routine site maintenance—not after a complaint or legal escalation. Recurring scans make accessibility part of the operating system of the website.

Frequently asked questions

Does passing an automated scan mean my site is compliant?

No. Automated scanning is one layer of accessibility testing. Manual review is still necessary.

Why does this page send the scan to VeroScan?

Because VeroScan is the dedicated scanning product. The Blog Note provides the editorial and educational layer; the scanner performs the actual technical evaluation.
